--> In the above chart Sensex is trading 3rd time in tight range of 160 odd points. Breakout either side will give 160 points move.

--> 1st incident happened on BUDGET DAY, when sensex was trading in very tight as well as narrow range for 7 trading session and given breakout on 26th March 2010.

--> 2nd incident happened on 16th March 2010. Sensex was trading in tight range of 240 points and given upside breakout.

--> 3rd incident is in process. Now question arises here that RBI on Friday evening raised Repo & Reverse Repo rate by 0.50%. The impact of it will come on Monday morning, where as SGX Nifty closed down -74 points on Friday evening after RBI's move.

--> Traders need to be cautious as Sensex & Nifty has yet to discount the RBI move, which it will probably discount on Monday.

--> Immediate supports comes around 17400 & 17190.

--> While Resistance comes around 17700-17800.

--> Interest rate sensitive stocks could come under selling pressure next week.

--> Last week we have updated the Sensex technical view & mentioned about ranged trading of 160 points and sensex has given upside breakout and acheived target of 160 odd points. For details visit following link.

It is good written in one of TA book that If you want to buy stock in bull market you need to do just one thing. You need to inverse the chart and ask yourself one question whether you will sell now if answer come "No" then you should not buy that stock and if answer comes "Yes" then you should buy that stock.

Why I am telling you all this things? it is to explain you that why the current level is not comfortable to buy stocks. You can see yellow ellipse which is 20 DMA crossover 50 DMA which is bullish sign in Inverted chart. You can also see RSI below that chart it is also making higher lows (on inverted scale) which signs the reversal of trend anytime soon. I am not trying to anticipate anything in stock market either not advising any short position.

I am personally uncomfortable to buy stocks at current levels I would rather prefer to wait for some good correction of 20% - 25% from current levels. Now levels I am watching are 4953 and then 4890. If these two levels breaks then 1st stop comes around 4700 and finally if 4700 breaks then expecting the entire current trend will get reversed significantly.

Now want to give some input on Nikkei (Japan Index) it has potential to correct and rally well before world markets do, which has been seen in history also. Nikkei started correcting from 31st August 2009 which is still going on. Now it is coming in oversold territory and expected to move sideways till other markets get corrected.

According to Elliott Wave analysis the Major 5 Wave cycle of S&P 500 ended at 1576 and fallen in 5-3-5 formed. first 5 wave downside completed at 667 and 3 wave corrective is about to complete around 1114 so soon the 5 wave down to retest the low of 667 will start.

Coming to Dollar lots of talks happening on its bottoming out or not. Many analysts are still pessimistic on Dollar, the scenario I look same as it was at the time when S&P 500 reached 667 when many analyst telling about more downside in it. Now I don't understand how can one country can afford deflation of their currency, certainly this is for boosting US Exports but in the long run this will create more serious problems for US govt and if US is in problem it will screw whole world with its problem like what happened in 1929, 1970,2000 & latest 2008.

Now coming to astrological dates 1st to 5th December may come as reversal time for stock market, 1st week of January 2010, then 15th to 20th February 2010. Now keep watch on these dates as it can trigger some correction in days to come.

In the above chart of S&P 500 you can see that S&P500 took the support exactly at the green trendline, Red upper trendline & last but not least at 50 DMA indicated with green circle. Now you can see it is facing resistance at exact upper trendline. Now I have also pointed that it is in formation of Head & Shoulder which is bearish pattern but its not time to react on this unless it closes below green trendline. It may give false breakdown as it has given in past marked with blue trendline and names. So small bounce is expected on S&P 500.

--> I tried to compare the current move with the move which happened in Jan 2008. I saw the current move is showing exactly same formation which we saw in Jan 2008. The Red Line (RSI) shows exactly same negative (highlighted with green shadow) divergences which we saw in Jan 2008.

--> Now Technically market is making new 2009 highs but RSI is not, which is signalling that its time to generate cash at higher levels.

--> In Jan 2008 Sensex has given false breakout and then suddend fall with lower Circuit, currently Sensex has to give Breakout above 16300 and could go upto 17500-18000 in short term but it would be wise to liquidate long positions around these levels rather building fresh long positions.

--> Will update my view regularly in coming weeks. Need to watch Sensex Closely.

Nifty is in the range of 700 points between 4000 to 4700 any move eitherside will give quick 700 points move on NIFTY. Nifty may consolidate between this levels. "IMPORTANCE OF USD INDEX"

The above Chart is of USD Index. In Early March the USD index topped out which trigerred the massive rally in GLOBAL EQUITIES. Now the Daily Chart USD Index is showing some signs of bottoming out.RSI is making higher lows while prices are making lower lows which signals that USD is in process of bottoming out or consolidating before notching upward. If USD bottoms out and starts moving (Which will happen soon based on technical indicators) up will impact adversely the GLOBAL EQUITIES. Small to Medium term correction could be trigerred in GLOBAL EQUITIES. Also All GLOBAL INDICES are trading near major resistance which will act as strong barrier for all GLOBAL INDICES.

Now why we are giving so much importance to USD Index???

The answer is in past USD Index has inverse co-relation with EQUITIES.

In Early March the USD Index topped out (Highlighted with BLUE Circle) & at the same time Massive Rally started in GLOBAL EQUITIES. Now according to ELLIOTT WAVE USD Index ended 5 wave corrective phase & Equities may be in its 5th wave.

We had mentioned about H&S pattern on 29th June 2009, in that we had told that closing below neckline will give some good downside move. We have suggested positional short calls to our Nifty positional trading clients on the Budget day at 3 pm with stop loss of 14261. Sensex has given 550 odd points move on downside. Many analyst were waiting for more confirmation to take call on such moves.

Now again on 14th July 2009 we had mentioned about DOJI also we had written that short term bottom is in place on SENSEX. We suggested short covering call as well as fresh long positional call to our Nifty trading clients on 13th July 2009 at 3 pm and we got 1400 points from 13400 to 14800 move. Many analyst are still waiting & watching the levels to take call. Swift move will happen in this kind of market so analyst has to take swift & bold calls on market move.

Conclusion did you made profit out of this 1950 points movement on the SENSEX or still waiting for levels like many other analysts hahahahahahaha. :))

--> Some Tech Analyst were arguing about the pattern but I see the same thing happening which happened in the past Budgets. Now only thing is we have to wait for succsesive close below 4150 for 3-4 trading days, then only we will confirm the breakdown and pattern completion. Technically the target comes to 3650-3700 on Nifty and 12200-12500 on Sensex, but Nifty has strong support area of 3800-3900 & Sensex has strong support around13000 levels. As said in Technical Analysis "History Repeats It Self"

--> After yesterday's fall Nifty can show small but sharp bounce upto 4200-4220 which will act now stiff resistance for Nifty to cross.

SENSEX HEAD & SHOULDER ???

"GOLDEN CROSS"

-->Finally the much awaited "GOLDEN CROSS" happened. According to Technical Analysis Theory "History Repeats Itself" we may have entered in the BULL MARKET. Last time when “GOLDEN CROSS” happened on Sensex, it was at 5963 and rised up to 21206 which was almost 256% gains from 5963 and Sensex took 49 months to reach 21206 mark.

-->In Current scenario when GOLDEN CROSS happened 22/06-2009 Sensex was at 14000 and if we calculate the same % gains on it the it comes to 49000-50000 on and Sensex may reach this mark in 49-50 months of period starting from 22/06/2009. So by July 2013 we may see 49000-50000 on Sensex.

"HEAD & SHOULDER PATTERN"

-->Currently Sensex and Nifty both are forming Head & Shoulder pattern on Daily chart, which is bearish pattern technically. Left Shoulder and Head are being formed and now Sensex and Nifty both are in process of forming of Right Shoulder. Technically we need to wait for the pattern gets completed and If the pattern gets completed and Both the Indices Break and closes below the neckline that will be our confirmation and then the target comes for Sensex is around 12000-12200 & for Nifty it comes to 3600-3650.

-->Now we need to wait for confirmation and wait for the whole pattern to develop. If Sensex and Nifty manages to take out previous highs of 15600 & 4693 then our view on H&S will be negated. We need to wait and watch for momentum line also, if it gets broken then the uptrend will come to an end in intermediate, the value comes to around 14300. We had mentioned about one big correction can not be ruled out (about 1500-2000 points on Sensex) in our view dated 14th June 2009 which we will treat it as "GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY".

-->There are two type of trading strategy in this kind of pattern

1. Sell 50% at 14900-15000 and sell remaining if Sensex breaks 14000 mark.

2. Exit from all longs whenever Sensex breaks and close below 14000 mark.

-->Weekly Support comes for Sensex to 14300/14000/13700 while resistance comes to 14900/15600/16200.

-->FUNDAMENTALLY & TECHNICALLY ATTRACTIVE STOCKS FOR DELIVERY BUY

This time I have tried to analyze the Impact of Budget on Sensex. There are 3 charts posted on the blog in which I had covered the impact of budget from 2001-2009. Investors/Mutual Fund Managers/ Foreign Investors are very much keen to watch the 1st budget of Congress led UPA Government. If we refer the history of budgets, then we see that Sensex rallied before the Budget and then after it has fall very sharply. I have tried to analyze this scenario from 2001 to 2008 to get the better picture, out of 8 times Sensex rallied only 2 times post the Budget, and out of this 2 times Sensex rallied only once with major 2775 points, in another event it rallied only 836 points.

Refer the charts posted above 1st chart is from 2001-2003, 2nd chart is from 2004-2006 and 3rd chart is from 2007-2009.

Only 12 days left for the Budget 2009 and market showed weakness now the question is whether Sensex will rally pre budget or post budget??? It seems like that Sensex will try to hold up till budget and if the outcome of budget doesn’t come favorable then it will correct very sharply.

Now we will look the Sensex technically. Sensex showing some signs of weakness in momentum and some Technical indicators are also showing weakness on daily charts. Sensex is trading near the momentum line, which if broken decisively then we may see some good correction which I think is still pending. According to retracement levels Sensex rallied from 7697 to 15600 which was almost 61.8% of the fall from 21206 to 7697. Now If Sensex breaks the crucial support placed at 13500 then we may Sensex coming down to 12500/11000 Levels, or If it manages to surpass decisively above 15600 then we could see 16061-16200 or even 18000+ levels also.

In May 2009 we have seen that the outcome of election result was the GAME CHANGER, now the outcome of budget will be the GAME CHANGER, which can significantly change the trend.

“GOLDEN CROSS” AS "GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY"

On last monday we have mentioned on our blog that we are waiting for "GOLDEN CROSS". Now why we are giving so much importance to this??? I tried to explain it in simple manner with some Questions and Answers which are as follows, kindly read it and you can mail me your comments on marketgyaan@gmail.com

WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF GOLDEN CROSS???

-->Let us discuss the history of GOLDEN CROSS. In history of the stock market whenever this GOLDEN CROSS happened the major bull market has started every time. Last time when the GOLDEN CROSS happened on 24th November 2004 then after the major rally/bull market started which ended on 21st January 2008, which was lasted for exactly 4 years.

NOW WHAT GOLDEN CROSS CONSISTS???

-->It consist two simple moving averages. 1st is 100 DMA (Days Moving Average) & 2nd is 200 DMA (Days Moving Average). Both 100 & 200 DMAs are very much important in Technical Analysis.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT???

-->Whenever 100 DMA crosses 200 DMA on Upside it usually signs that market is going to start very strong upward rally & "GOLDEN CROSS" term is used for it in Technical Analysis, and whenever 100 DMA crosses 200 DMA on Downside it usually signs that market is going to fall heavily & DEATH CROSS term is used for it in Technical Analysis.

-->In the current scenario the gap between 100 DMA & 200 DMA is narrowing day by day, so I am personally expecting that 100 DMA will cross 200 DMA on upside soon. On 15th May 2009 100DMA crossed 200DMA on down side when SENSEX was at 17366 and then the fall we have seen till October 2008, which was very heavy and it was "DEATH CROSS".

-->Also if you have seen the FIIs trading data from last 2 months then you will see that they have bought over $ 4 Billion equities in cash market. So we are expecting a major bull market is going to start sooner or later in the current year only, but one correction of (may be 1500-2000 points on SENSEX) can not be ruled out completely.

-->When that correction will happen? whether it will happen before GOLDEN CROSS or after GOLDEN CROSS only time will tell us, but it should be consider as life time buying opportunity for Long Term & Medium Term Investors/Traders.

WAITING FOR "GOLDEN CROSSOVER" FOR AN UPSURGE

Last Monday we have mentioned on our blog that "BULLS WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE MARKET THIS WEEK". Sensex gained 3.27% and Nifty rised almost 3.10%. The breadth of the market remained strong last week. Advance Decline ratio also remained very strong last week. FII's remained net buyers last week which is very good sign for Indian markets. Sensex has managed to cross 15000 easily this week. Next resistance comes for Sensex is 15500 & 16000.Support for Sensex is 14600 which if breaks will take Sensex down to 14300-14000. We also mentioned that Intraday correction can not be ruled out. This week also Intraday or day or two day correction can not be ruled out. Dow Jones is also trading above 8600 consistently. Budget effect will be seen on the stocks specifics due to announcements of budget dates.

The stocks which we have mentioned last monday outperformed the Indices.

SENSEX

The bias still remains on the upside. Market may consolidate in the tight range this week, any major event outcome will help the market to breakout from this range. The breakout on the upside is very much likely than on down side, only thing is that we need to wait for confirmation of "GOLDEN CROSSOVER" i.e. 100 DMA(Days Moving Average) crossing 200 DMA (Days Moving Average) on the upside.

Short term target on Deccan chronicle achieved.

Prajay Engg recommended on tuesday at 43.5 closed at 50.25 on friday.

1st tgt achieved in IFGL Refractory, recommended at 29.

Ratnamani & Classic Diamond also moved up sharply (chart posted on friday 05/06/2009).

Northgate also locked in upper circuit.

MOMENTUM IS STRONG

Sensex managed to close above 15000. The momentum is very strong. Sensex reversed from 14600 which we have mentioned yesterday as the strong support level. Sensex may touch now 15500 and 16000 in coming 1-2 weeks. Buy stocks with the Stop loss of 14600 on Sensex. On Monday we have mentioned that "Bulls will dominate Market this week" if you remember. Budget dates announced and SENSEX will refuse now to go down till budget.

Lots of stocks mentioned on Monday which will perform very good in this week. Those stocks performed very well in this week. We will post details of the stocks which we have mentioned and perfomed as well.

SENSEX GOING NOWHERE!!!

Sensex didnt managed to cross 15000 decisively. The move in the market from last 3 sessions is very indecisive. It seems that Sensex finding difficult to close above 15000. Stocks specific move will happen for some more time. Sensex if closes below 14600 then it may take Sensex to 14300-13500 area.

WILL SENSEX CROSS 15000???

Dow Jones broken out its range of 8200-8600 on Monday. Did closed above 8600 for 2 consecutive days. We have to wait for Sensex to close above 15000 for target of 15500 & 16000. Sensex is still trading in its range of 13480-14930. BULLS WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE MARKET THIS WEEK

Sensex gained 5.31% and Nifty gained almost 5%. Overall broader market’s strength remained very strong last week and could remain strong this week also. Sensex and Nifty both closed at 12 month high on 29/05/2009. Sentiment will remain bullish and will be fueled by FII’s buying, Government’s reform steps and Global rally lead by US markets. Intraday booking can not be ruled out but the bias will remain on the positive side. So buy on dips strategy will work better than sell on highs. Sensex created Gap between 12272 and 13479 on daily chart. This Gap acted as support since last 2 weeks and market bounced back sharply from that support area. Support for the week comes to 4350/4250/4200 on Nifty and 14300/14000/13800 for the Sensex, while resistance for Nifty comes to 4550/4650/4740 and for Sensex 14900/15500/16000.
